Welcome to the beginning of the the Kala Nation cultural movement.Kala means tribe or bond.In old West Africa Kalas were the building block behind the great empires that linked all African societies together in a complex structure. This kept wars down and protected smaller villages from stronger ones.At the top was the apex kingdom called Mali, which means where the king of kings live.

Comparing and Contrasting"Having an Interest in Something"and"Being Interested in Something"African Americans and Africa
in·ter·est ( n tr st, -t r- st, -tr st ). n. 1. a. A state of curiosity or concern about or attention to something: an interest in sports. b. Something, such as a quality, subject, ...
Many Pan Africanist and African American nationalist have historically shown an interest in their motherland. The passion and emotion for our African homeland goes back to when the first Africans were ripped from the shores of Africa. To many it has always been an escape,a place of wonder and excitement. For years the media convinced many of us to be ashamed of Africa as a place of backwardness and savagery. Those of us who studied Africa and identified with our homeland kept our eyes on development and progress going forward. We are definitely interested in Africa.A recent survey showed 80% of African Americans more than any other Black group, say they want more positive images of Africa and want to know more about the continent.Whether it is the new DNA technology tracing ones roots to the exact tribe or visiting the continent for vacation the number of our people interested in Africa is growing to shocking proportions.
What is the frustration that many of us are feeling? The frustration is we do not have interest in Africa.Lets define and interest and see how it differs from being interest in something. An Interest is something gained by having assets or something tangible of value. An Interest gives you a return on principle. This means if you own land, you have interest, because it is tangible. That land may be used for farming and also wealth creation. We African Americans have to make the transition from being interested in Africa to having interest in Africa.Having interest means your bottom line is at stake. You have to be more engaged in Africa. You need political connections and backing to protect your interest. This is the challenge of groups like the Rosenthall Group,Kemetic Pipeline, and African Venture Partners and many others doing business in Africa.Money is on the line. This puts our love for Africa to the test.Chinese were interested in Africa, now they have interest in Africa they will protect through diplomatic relations and good will gestures. We have to go beyond slogans and rhetoric and get serious or we will be locked out of the continent of our ancestors. This is the time for us to step up and put our faith to the ultimate test.

Is History repeating itself?Elections 1876,1878 parallel to 2008,2010?
In the aftermath of the American civil war the Southern US was ravaged. The racist beliefs left by the plantation slave culture resurfaced in the formation of the Ku Klux Klan and the brutal suppression of the former slaves who were looking for their rights as citizens.Reconstruction rebuilt the South with Black labor in exchange for the vote and civil rights and equality. The reason this worked is because the Union kept troops in the South and dismantled all Southern governments legislatures and made the South federal territory. When Rutherford Hayes won the election of 1876 the South protested on the bases that their representation was miscounted. So many Southern Congressional reps in particularly from South Carolina began to filibuster Congressional procedures. The Southerners agreed if the President withdrew the Union troops form the South. This gave the power back to the racist and they began denying Blacks the rights to vote.In the wake of this the Liberia and Kansas exodus movements were formed. In Charleston SC a group of exodus people met to form the Liberia Exodus society. They raised money, capital and influence. Then in 1879 the Christened the Bark Azor Steamship for the voyage. The demand for passage was so great some tickets were auctioned off.Only 250 passengers were supposed to be aboard but another 50 stowed away. The Liberians were now a better superior people who had built an independent Black Republic that was able to offer land to African American settlers. When the passengers on the Azor left South Carolina they were already skilled in farming,Blacksmithing, shipping, and other skills. They brought with them tools and a work ethic. In one of Black America's most colorful and heroic moments these brave men and women with them sailed up the St Paul River and built many homes and settlements in the river region.Farming was key and these settlers also had fellow African American traders to buy their crops. These people found heaven in their native land.
Will the Tea Party take over of the government lead to another exodus of African Americans?Already people are leaving the country. Not just Blacks but Whites too.Only the Latinos are flooding in here. There clearly is no real future for the Black man in America. The African American needs a new beginning.

A plan for a settlement in Liberia.Introducing Apostle Thomas Rogers

Introducing Bishop Rogers
I am Apostle Thomas L. Rodgers, Sr., a 65 year old missionary and visionary. I am a local pastor in the Charlotte area and I am very concerned about my people, here and in Africa. For some years now I have been involved with Liberia, West Africa and I now have the opportunity as well as resources to begin a great agriculture project there. I have been given access to over 250,000 acres of land in Africa. I have acquired machinery and farming equipment to help cultivate that land for one of the greatest agriculture development ever. With this equipment we can implement a vast farming industry in Liberia and other parts of Africa. This will not only feed millions of people, but create jobs for them to sustain themselves for much longer than a bowl of soup. We hope to not only farm this land, but provide adequate housing, hospitals, and schools for thousands of refugees that have been displaced due to dire circumstances. In my closing, I hope to Unite Africans and African Americans in a joint effort to restore a homeland.

Their Mission
Our Mission is to help alleviate world hunger by utilizing the vast wealth of resources found in the continent of Africa. The soil is some of the richest in the world. The climate is conductive to year around harvesting of crops and labor source is endless. By doing so, we hope to create industries that will provide jobs for those seeking an alternative to the poverty and harsh treatment that we now face.We will use an international joint effort to re-establish Africa as the "cradle of civilization". We intend to apply the same concepts and industrial tatics used to create America and apply it to the reconstruction of Africa. We are a non-profit organization with a 501 (c)3 status and any donations would be greatly appreciated and is consiidered as tax deducible.
The Vision for Restoration and Reunification
Mission of the Ministry of Holism
is organization was developed to bring aid to war-torn Liberia, West Africa during and after the civil uprising that resulted in the displacement and death of many Liberians. Several shipments of relief items have been sent to Liberia, and 40 churches have come together under the leadership of Apostle Thomas L. Rodgers, Sr., to not only learn and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, but to facilitate the aid distribution under Unison-Liberia.
Unison-Liberia made available to many displaced citizens of Liberia a compound facility to be used for housing. The efforts of Unison-Liberia still continue today.
African Americans of various backgrounds have long desired to return to their native homeland with hopes of helping in the construction of technological advances for that great continent. Through Unison-Liberia, African Americans and Africans are seeking to enter into cooperative relationships with each other. Combined efforts would put both nationalities in the position to build interstate highways throughout Africia, embark on large scale commercial farming projects, enhance the airline industry, shipping and banking industries, invest in business of rock quarrying, develop electrical and water systems, solar, nuclear, and windmill energy systems, and so much more. Africa has the potential to become the greatest agriculture exporter in the world.

Wholistic healing.Real or Fraud?

I would be the first to admit I don't know a whole lot about metaphysics,Wholistic healing(which is not a word or academically defined)or anything the many gurus in the community sell us on.I think of the money Ive spent on so called Egyptian oils, incense, herbs, potions, seeds ect I could be rich by now.Now I do know that certain herbs do fight toxins and cancer. And that my hidden healing is also in many plants around the world. But what most of the gurus don't tell you is that modern medicine is based on these plants, and modern pharmacy techniques involve duplicating these natural medicines as to mass produce them and make them safe and affordable. For example oxicotin is a herb that has pain killing ability. It is also close to heroin.PCP,marajana, cocaine are all natural should we consume them?
I suspect the Wholistic Movement is Counterculture
For the longest time we have had uneducated gurus wearing dashikis in the community peddling misimformation and paranoia as revolution.I asked what is the nutritional value of a bean pie?Why is that better than sweet potato pie?I will get mumbo jumbo for the next two hours. There are many who refuse to except science, math, engineering, technology as inevitable and the future.Asleep in a dangerous world. Many talk about the dangers of modern farming and we should grow things ourselves.I ask why?Because they use chemicals! That is a dirty word except when they are smoking chemicals in their weed.Chemicals signifies science! And Lord knows if some Negroes will have to pick up a book and research some facts! This is all a rebellion against progress. It is the main thing hold the African people back. Most food in the world that African people eat comes from other people.Africans are the only people who cant feed themselves, produce their own cars, cloths, books, computers ect.The same people who say industries are bad.I ask why are you on your computer? It is industry that brought you the facebook you are on.
We need balance
The one thing we as African Americans need is balance and common sense.Go to the doctor and find out what is wrong with you.Ask him his opinion about certain herbs. He cannot recommend non medicine but do your own research.Understand that the modern world people live longer because we have the science to save lives.Feel good gurus are more likely after your money and control of your mind than helping you.

Kalagenesis.Exodus The African American Zion Quest

Exodus is a chapter in the Bible when the Children of Israel were given signs and wonders by Moses to leave Egypt the land of their oppressors into the valley of the shadow of death to get to the promise land. When Moses commanded Pharaoh to "Let my People Go"he did not listen. This caused plagues to infect Egypt. To the end when his own son was killed. Now there were many who disagreed with Moses and wanted to stay. When the going got tough they turned on Moses and God sent his wrath down upon them who disbelieved. The moral of the story is when it is time to leave it is time to leave and there is no turning back. Those who do face their own peril.
The Kansas Exodus of 1879
When people look at St Louis they notice large numbers of African Americans in the middle of no where it seems like. The story behind the Blacks in St Louis is they are refugees in a failed trek towards Kansas.Although a large number made it many did not. This was the famous Trek of 1879.After the Union withdrew its troops from the South the KKK was now free to terrorize freed Blacks into submission. Many felt betrayed by the US and decided to leave the South in large number.African Americans have been on a Zionquest since the end of the Civil War.Zion is the Biblical place for the home of the Jews.African Americans drew parallels between themselves and the Jews of old. Some 20,000 people made the Trek much to the dismay of leaders like Fredrick Douglass who said the South not the West or Liberia was the African American home. How could anyone believe second class citizenship and degradation be home? This was because many well meaning leaders spoke from the position of what is best for America or in this case the so called New South.Imagine they were running that game about a New South back then.
The IAAC is the last Zion movement
The International African American Caucus is the last of many Zion movement the African American people will see. This is a real movement to settle a African American nation in Africa. We understand the plight of the people in this wilderness of North America. An African American state on the coast of Africa is the best option for a sojourning people. This is where our people will have peace. We will finally be free.

The African American Revolution
Malcolm X once said that Negroes are afraid of revolution. The racist knows that the best way to oppress the Black man in America is to make him comfortable.Malcolm X said that for the Black man is in a prison.America he said is a mental prison that keeps the Black man stagnant, dependent, and broken. This is not the case if one thinks of himself as an individual or a rouge. But if one believes he is part of a group and his fellow African Americans are his brothers and tribesmen then America is an impedement to that end.Malcolm X said many talk of revolution but dont really know what it is.He was talking about the psuedo nationalist at the time who were misimforming people about what a real revolution was.The Universal Negro Improvement Association was a revolution in the thinking of our people. Many people said Garvey was before his time, this was not true. The time was right but counter revolutionary forces such as the N.A.A.C.P and Urban League undermined real progressive organizations like the UNIA.Malcolm X said revolution is change,it is ugly,it is bloody,it is uncompromising and does not bend and go back.
African Americans are not free
When people can make their own decisions, control their own destiny they are free.Along with that comes the heartbreak of failure, disaster ect.The Black peoples in America have never been in that position of making decisions that affect their lives. For example the relations with other people around the world is decided by the dominant White population. What foods are eaten, standard of beauty, the environment, war, ect all are the result of what the majority of White Americans benefit from or decide.Even the type of jobs created,or who has access to wealth is firmly in the hands of Whites. In a capitalist society the ultimate goal of the power structure is to regualate what goods are produced, who shall produce them and for whom shall the goods be produced for.The Black race no matter who holds the highest office we are never in those gate keeping positions to bring change to the masses. When people are free to build, create, and reach their full potential then they are happy. The question is what is the full potential of the African American? Not having a voice or after 400 years in the new world having no significant stronghold? Not one safe haven from poverty, ignorance, violence, self hate,White supremecy anywhere? Not one functioning community that is self sufficient? Is it our goal to pretend race does not exist? That one day Whites will forget the love they have for their White skin and all the beauty and benefit that comes from it?In this blog series I will talk about the changing paradigm in our community towards Pan Africanism,African Nationalism and just away from the ideal of trying to be a part of a country that has no intentions of being part of us.Martin Luther King jr was a great man but we cannot afford leaders like him anymore.Leaders that rely on appealing to the better angels of another race rather than doing the self respecting thing which is to build for yourself.-Kalagenesis
